Touch Up

I offer a complimentary touch-up within a six-month period from the date your tattoo was initially applied.

For the best outcome, I recommend waiting at least a month before scheduling your touch-up. This waiting period allows your tattoo to fully settle.

If your tattoo still appears shiny and doesn't quite match the rest of your skin, it's probably not ready for a touch-up just yet. If you're not sure your tattoo needs a touch-up, just send me a picture, and we will go from there.

A touch-up is intended to restore a tattoo to how it looked when it was first completed, and is only meant to correct any healing imperfections or fading. If any changes to the original design are requested, such as adding new elements or increasing the boldness of the lines, the session will be treated as a new tattoo and priced accordingly.

If you booked your touch-up and need to reschedule, let me know at least 2 days (48 hours) before your appointment. Without this notice, you will lose your opportunity for the complimentary touch-up. Please keep in mind that I can only accommodate one reschedule per appointment.

If you don't show up for your touch-up appointment, you will lose your complimentary touch-up, and to get it done, you will be charged the minimum price.

Please note that I cannot provide free touch-ups for tattoos on hands, fingers, feet, elbows, or knees, as these areas usually do not heal as well. I can always touch them up for free if you get more tattoos done though.

If you got a tattoo with my sister (@laufertattoo) and it needs a touch up, a fee of $50 will be charged for the material.

Healing & Aging

Fine line tattoos are just as permanent as tattoos done in any other style. Like all tattoos, they will naturally soften and fade over time, but a well-executed fine line tattoo will not fade any faster simply because of its style.

Because fine line tattoos use less ink, they typically heal to a softer, lighter appearance (think a dark shade of grey rather than solid black). As the ink settles into the skin during healing, the tattoo may appear slightly softer than it did when it was fresh. This is completely normal and doesn't necessarily mean a touch-up is needed.

Proper aftercare plays a big role in how a tattoo heals, and detailed aftercare instructions will be provided after your appointment.
