Tattoo Preparation

Booked your tattoo and don’t know what to do next? Here’s an easy guide on what to do!

1. Prep your skin
Fine line fades a lot more on dry skin. To ensure good healing, make sure you moisturize in the weeks before your appointment. If the area needs shaving you don't have to worry about it, I will shave it for you. If you prefer shaving at home just be extra careful, if you cut yourself I won't be able to tattoo the area.

2. Stay hydrated and eat well before your appointment
When you drink lots of water your skin gets naturally hydrated and less dry and rough, it makes my life a lot easier and your healing better. Don't come on an empty stomach, especially if you feel dizzy at the sight of blood. Feel free to bring snacks :)

3. Dress comfy and be clean
Wear loose-fitting clothing that won't irritate your new tattoo and allows easy access to the area where the tattoo will be placed. I try my best not to stain my client's clothes but it's safer to wear something you don't mind getting stained with ink. Show up clean as well, it helps reduce the chances of infection and it makes the stencil placement easier.

4. Don't bring too many people
If you need to bring someone try to limit it to one person. The room is small and large groups are distracting, they will make you talk a lot and therefore move a lot - the more you move the worst the outcome.  I've also had clients' friends hitting the chair or me by accident, and once a mistake is tattooed, it's there forever.

5. Don't stress and communicate any changes
If you're not sure about the placement, I can place the stencil in different areas so you can compare before we tattoo. If you want to make changes to your tattoo design or do another tattoo on the same appointment, please let me know before the day of. I need time to design even the smallest tattoos, and if it's a big change we will have to reschedule your appointment and I will require a new deposit. I usually book more than one client a day, and delays could affect other clients' time.

If you got to this point, you're ready for your ink adventure! If you have any questions or need any help, send me an email and I'll be more than happy to reply ♥
